..Los Angeles Elephant Guide Ban Tabled!..

The proposed elephant guide (ankus, bullhook) ban in Los Angeles has been tabled.
Your e-mail and phone calls worked! Councilmember Paul Koretz, proponent of ban,
said there was so much public outcry that they would need to do more research.
He did not know when the proposed ordinance might come up again. This is the best we
could have hoped for since we only found out about it yesterday. The only information 
council members had was provided by animal rights extremist organizations. Everyone working
 together made this happen. Special thanks to the people who dropped everything and went
 to the meeting today. You people rock! We'll figure out what happens next and keep you posted.
