Rochester, N.Y. — Circus elephants took a stroll through downtown Rochester around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, kicking off the Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey BARNUM 200 performace, which opens at the Blue Cross Arena on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Events are scheduled throughout the week, including a CircusFit program for students at Klem South Elementary School,a question and answer session with Ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson with teen groups at the Rochester Public Library, and an elephant performance in front of the Blue Cross Arena at noon on Friday.
Circus performances this week are Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m.,Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11:30 a.m., 3:30 and 7 p.m., and Sunday Oct. 30 at 1 and 5 p.m. Kid’s tickets are $12 for all performances in non-VIP seating, and adult tickets are $16, $25, $35 and $50, and all non-VIP tickets are $12 for opening night.
