The weather here in our corner of the Pacific Northwest has been crazy this winter. I've lived here 20+ years and never seen this much snow before. It has snowed on us at least 6 times this winter, from a blizzard to just snow falling and not sticking. We went through a flood last month with the river and water rising on the Island, cutting off our road to the bridge and flooding the fields behind and in front of our house.
It was 50F outside today and beautiful, with the sun shinning and the grass and fields green. We went into town today to take Joseph in for a booster shot and do some shopping, and I took these beautiful shots of the green fields and blue skies. On the way back it clouded over started to rain, which turned into sleet before we even got home!! I get on my computer tonight and had 3 e-mail weather alerts saying it is going to snow in the morning. It is freezing outside again tonight with frost everywhere. When is it going to end. When is spring and just rain going to arrive?
....These two pictures are from today,it started out beautiful and about 50F outside with the sun shinning....
....This is a picture of the second big snow storm that hit us in January. At least we were able to get out in this one and play in the snow....
....This is what my yard looked like just before Christmas. Glen was in L.A.,in 65F weather and our water pump went out,so Joseph and I spent 3 days melting snow to flush the toilet. Finally our oldest son William was able to get through the ice and come and get us on Christmas Eve so I could get into town and buy presents....
